Liyun 20th birthday

Went for dearest Liyun 20th birthday. I am so jealous of her life. She had everything any girl could possibly ask for. Pretty face, nice body, handsome boyfriend and golden spoon in her mouth. Her 20th birthday celebration is much extravagant then an average girls 21st celebration. They had catered a buffet spread in addition with the usual barbecue. Her birthday cake was not the typical square or circle shape cake, but a four layer tier plate with colourful mini cupcakes on it. Good creativity on their part.

Me + Cheryl + Liyun + Latha + Joyce. Friends forever.

Now for Jocelyn's ultimate bitching time. So the last shuttle bus for NSRCC, the venue of Liyun's party, was at 10.30 pm. Not wanting to miss out the last transportation back, we dutifully do our homework to learn and remember the shuttle bus timing. We also dutifully waited at the designated bus stop reaching ten minutes earlier. So what reward do we reap? We missed the bus.

Being girls, we seated at the bench facing towards the road, chatting our life away. Little did we noticed that the bus had already arrived on our right separated by a divider created. So it appeared to me that the management or the architecture or the bus driver had interesting sense of common sense. Somehow, we were all supposed to turn our heads unnaturally 90 degrees towards the right while seated on the bench. Not until that we heard the bus engine roaring then did we realised that we missed the bus. Couldn't he horn towards us before he leave? Is that so difficult?

I was not fuming, till I chance upon this. Fortunately or unfortunately, the bus was blocked by its own security gantry. In order for his problem to be known, he wind down his window to get his need across the guard house. Just then we grabbed the opportunity and yelled for him to let us up. When the barrier was lifted, he bluntly ignored us and drove away. Spare me the crap that he did not heard us. As the saying goes, 2 IJ girls made up a market, needless to say 4 of them. All of us had undergo daily training to project our voices across, as you see our canteen is often noisy and in order for us to compete drown each other voices down, we had to scream. Even the passengers on board had heard us. I take it as a compliment for not noticing us, we must be that small size.

That is not all. I stomped towards the guard house to make my problem known. Instead of appeasing me, saying things like, "I will feedback to the office tommorrow." He replied, "Mdm, it is not my job. I am here just to answer your questions." He ignored me completely and turned to the next person in line.

Like hello~ Do you need me to tour you around biopolis? Your shuttle bus service and security guard is hardly half their standard. You do not even have the basic of having a compassionate. I believe there is no excuse in this.

On a side note, look like our girls innate ability had lost.

Baby xandon

Having to miss baby Xandon first month party due to examination preparation, we made it up by having a lunch meeting. It was also about time that we do some catching up with each other life. After all, those were the girls that watch me grew up. Irene in particular was anticipating this day, she hardly able to keep her excitement contained. If not because we were bounded only to our little digits to do the talking, I can imagine her shouting and yelling across. Every word she text screams anxiousness and happiness.

Sailatha and me were the first to arrive, followed by mummy Abigale. Despite being a mother of two, she is still remains skinny to bones. I see no reason why I should be heftier then her. Sailatha had a lot to say on how Abigale handles her child. She had her baby wrapped in a sarong and sling across her neck, both her hands were swinging away from her body as she strides towards us. The sarong that she wore appear to be more like a fashion accessories than to hold a baby within.

Next we walk towards Abigale apartment. We wanted to visit her first son Xander in his playgroup but was deterred as the young ones had been put to sleep. Just then Abigale was teaching her little precious to greet us as aunties. I protest in horror. Sailatha was all fine with the nomenclature thinking that it was the right way as we were young ladies above 20. To much surprise, Irene felt that granny sounds like a better word. Don't know what frequency their mind work on.

Count yourself lucky little prince! It was the first time I carried a month old baby.
